Five-Year-Old Boy Falls To Death From 24th Floor Condominium In Penang

A five-year-old boy has died after he was believed to have fallen from a high-rise residential unit on the 24th floor of a condominium in Teluk Kumbar late last night.

The incident came to light when members of the public discovered the child on the fifth floor area of the building at about 11.30pm. The victim was later confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Authorities arranged for the remains to be sent to the Penang Hospital for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Police said further details on the case will be released in an official statement once initial investigations are completed.

In a separate update, Bayan Lepas assemblyman Datuk Azrul Mahathir Aziz said he had been at the scene between 12.15am and 2am to provide assistance following the distressing incident.

He also expressed hope that the family would find strength in coping with the tragedy.
