Onn Hafiz Confirms Ready For Johor PRN Nomination Process

Date:

Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said preparations for the nomination process for the Johor State Election (PRN) scheduled tomorrow have been completed smoothly.

He said detailed preparations have been carried out to ensure that the process across all 56 state constituencies can proceed in an orderly manner without any issues.

“Alhamdulillah, all preparations have been made properly and systematically. We pray that tomorrow’s nomination process will go smoothly in all constituencies,” he said when met at an event in Johor Bahru today.

The event was also attended by Johor Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor and Perbadanan Kemajuan Perumahan Johor (PKPJ) chief executive Datin Paduka Dr Suhailizan Suliman.

Previously, the Election Commission (EC) set nomination day for the Johor PRN on tomorrow, followed by early voting on July 7 and polling day on July 11.

In a separate development, Onn Hafiz, who is also Johor BN chairman, said he is ready to defend the Machap state seat and hopes voters will continue to give him a mandate.

He also announced an allocation of RM20.75 million for the Kasih Johor Housing Initiative Phase 4, benefiting 5,000 recipients.

Of the total, RM17.5 million is allocated for First Home Purchase Assistance, RM2 million for First Home Entry Assistance, and RM1.25 million for Rental Assistance.

Onn Hafiz stressed that housing remains a key agenda of the state government over the past four years, with a focus on assisting all people regardless of background.

He also dismissed claims of racial bias, stressing that the state government’s approach is inclusive and open to all communities.
