Woman Found In Suitcase Was Not Dismembered, Died From Head Injuries

Police have confirmed that the woman whose body was discovered inside a suitcase at a rented house in Kajang died from severe head injuries caused by sharp-force trauma.

Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said a post-mortem examination conducted by the Forensic Unit at Hospital Kajang was completed at about 6.20pm on Monday.

He said the preliminary findings revealed that the victim’s cause of death was injuries to the head inflicted by a sharp object.

Naazron also clarified that investigators found no evidence that any part of the victim’s body had been dismembered.

The case is being investigated as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Police investigations further revealed that the house had been rented to a foreign couple since February this year.

However, authorities have yet to determine whether the victim was one of the tenants or another individual connected to the property.

Naazron urged anyone with information related to the case, or anyone who believes a family member or employee may be missing, to come forward to assist the investigation.

The case came to light after the owner of the rented house discovered the woman’s body inside a suitcase placed in the living room while carrying out an inspection of the property.
