Celebrity couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly donated a total of US$26 million (about RM106 million) to at least 20 charitable organisations across the United States in a major philanthropic move ahead of their reported wedding celebrations in New York.
According to a statement cited by Variety, the donation was distributed this week to a wide range of causes, although no direct reference was made to any wedding ceremony, despite speculation linking the timing to the couple’s personal milestone.
The funding reportedly spans nine food banks, seven education-based programmes, three children’s hospitals and an animal welfare organisation, making it one of the largest combined celebrity charity contributions of recent times.
The official statement simply confirmed that “this week, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift donated US$26 million to charities across the United States”, followed by a full list of 20 beneficiary organisations.
Several recipients have since publicly acknowledged the contributions, with City Harvest in New York confirming a US$1 million (around RM4 million) donation that it described as a major boost to its hunger relief efforts.
The organisation’s CEO, Jilly Stephens, said the support comes at a crucial time as demand for food assistance in the city continues to rise, calling the gift a significant contribution to ongoing relief work.
The Rhode Island Community Food Bank also confirmed a similar US$1 million donation, saying the funds would help provide nutritious food to families in need amid increasing community pressure.
Meanwhile, music legend Dolly Parton expressed gratitude after receiving a US$2 million (approximately RM8.1 million) contribution for her Imagination Library, describing the gesture as deeply meaningful in a social media video.
The donation wave has been widely praised online, with many highlighting Swift’s long-standing involvement in charitable causes, including disaster relief efforts, healthcare support and community aid initiatives.
Swift’s philanthropy has previously included unannounced donations during her Eras Tour stops, as well as contributions to animal shelters, emergency relief funds and individuals facing medical hardship.
