Johor caretaker Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi has urged Chinese voters to give Barisan Nasional (BN) another opportunity to lead the state, saying the decision made in the upcoming election would shape Johor’s future development.
The Johor BN chairman called on voters to make a careful choice and not be influenced by political narratives from Pakatan Harapan leaders who are not from the state.
He said the outcome of the July 11 state election would determine the direction of Johor’s progress over the next five years, adding that voters should consider long-term development plans and the state’s future potential.
Onn Hafiz highlighted that the BN-led administration and the people of Johor had achieved significant progress together, including economic growth and increased investments.
“Johor now has the strongest economy among all states, with an 8 per cent GDP growth and RM110 billion in approved investments.
“These are achievements that have never been recorded before in the state’s history,” he said.
He also criticised politicians from outside Johor for allegedly promoting racial and divisive issues, saying such approaches could affect the state’s economic growth and development.
Onn Hafiz said maintaining political stability and focusing on economic progress would be crucial to ensuring Johor continues moving forward.
