A female actress from a popular police drama series arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex this morning to face charges after allegedly testing positive for drugs during a raid at an unlicensed entertainment outlet.
The actress, dressed in black and wearing a face mask, arrived at the court compound at about 8.49am accompanied by four bodyguards.
She is expected to be charged under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Previously, reports stated that the 40-year-old actress, who had also participated in a reality singing programme, was released on police bail after preliminary screening showed she tested positive for three types of drugs.
The screening found the actress was positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine and ketamine after she was detained in a VIP room at the entertainment outlet together with several other individuals.
The raid also uncovered that the premises operator had failed to provide a valid business licence during inspection.
A total of 14 individuals were detained in the operation, including the premises caretaker, seven men and six women, to assist investigations.
