Man Suffers Serious Injuries After Tree Falls On Moving Car

A man suffered serious injuries after the car he was driving was crushed by a fallen tree near the United States Embassy along Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, on Saturday night.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre received an emergency call regarding the incident at 10.11pm.

A team of eight firefighters and officers from the Jalan Tun Razak Fire and Rescue Station was immediately deployed to the scene.

Upon arrival, rescuers found a fallen tree had landed on a Honda Accord driven by a 43-year-old man, leaving him trapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters launched a rescue operation and successfully extricated the victim from the wreckage.

The driver sustained serious injuries to his body and legs before being handed over to the Malaysian Civil Defence Force ambulance team for further treatment.

He was subsequently transported to Hospital Kuala Lumpur, where he is receiving medical care.

The incident highlights the dangers posed by falling trees, particularly during periods of adverse weather, as authorities continue to urge motorists to remain vigilant.
