A Malaysian consumer recently took to social media to share her disappointment after discovering that the “Thai Milk Bun” she bought had no filling inside.
The user, @fluffy.peonybelle, wrote on Threads: “The packaging said ‘Thai Milk Bun,’ so I thought it would have a creamy filling.”
She added in frustration, “Or maybe my expectations were too high? It’s just bread sprinkled with milk powder.”
In a video she posted, the bun was shown cut open, revealing nothing inside—leaving netizens both amused and sympathetic.
One commenter said, “The quality of this chain has been going downhill.”
Another pointed out, “As far as I know, Thai Milk Buns usually don’t have filling because the cream is spread on top.” Some even said they felt tricked by the misleading name.
