A young man has sparked concern and debate online after he was seen jumping from Darul Hana Bridge into the Sarawak River at the Kuching Waterfront.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, the man, dressed in a white T-shirt, is seen standing on the bridge before leaping into the river below.
He resurfaced safely moments later before the video ended.
The clip, which has been widely shared on Facebook, prompted mixed reactions from netizens, with many expressing concern over the dangerous stunt and the potential risks involved.
Some users pointed out that the area had previously been the site of a crocodile sighting. The reptile was later captured by a licensed crocodile hunter, raising further concerns about the safety of entering the river.
At the time of writing, The Borneo Post said it was seeking further information from the police regarding the incident.
