A married couple were among six people arrested after police seized 329.21kg of syabu worth an estimated RM12 million during two anti-drug operations in Semporna and Tawau on July 12 and 13.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun said police are also hunting a 46-year-old man, Cheong Min Ken, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the Semporna drug trafficking case.
The six suspects, aged between 25 and 47, all tested negative for drugs and have no previous criminal records.
Police also seized RM12,674 in cash, a gold ring worth RM2,400, and a gold necklace valued at RM7,300 during the operations.
The cases are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the death penalty or life imprisonment upon conviction.
