A driver escaped unhurt after the car he was driving collided with six cows that had wandered onto a highway in Guangdong, China, recently.
The incident occurred at around 3am on the G234 National Highway in Yangjiang during rainy conditions, when poor visibility and a slippery road were reported to have contributed to the crash.
According to police, the sedan lost control after hitting the herd of cows that was roaming on the highway. The impact left the front section of the white car badly damaged, while all six cows were reportedly killed.
Despite the severity of the collision, the driver was fortunate to escape without injuries. The incident, however, highlighted the dangers posed when livestock stray onto busy roads, particularly during periods of heavy rain and reduced visibility.
Traffic police later identified the owner of the cows and said action could be taken against the individual. Authorities stressed that herding or allowing cattle to roam near highways is prohibited.
The incident also serves as a reminder to motorists to remain alert when driving at night, especially in wet conditions where visibility and stopping distances can be affected.
