Motorcyclist Sparks Outrage After Squeezing Between Two Trailers

Date:

A motorcyclist has come under fire online after being captured riding through the narrow gap between two stationary trailers in a video that has since gone viral.

The incident was recorded by a dashcam and shared on the Dashcam Malaysia Owner Threads account, showing the rider attempting to pass between the two heavy vehicles despite the limited space.

The footage quickly drew criticism from social media users, who described the move as extremely dangerous and warned that it could have ended in serious injury had either trailer started moving.

The two trailers were stationary when the motorcyclist made the manoeuvre, and no accident was reported in connection with the incident.

One user, Amarsa, said the rider was fortunate that both heavy vehicles remained stationary, while another commenter, Ariffin, questioned what had prompted the motorcyclist to take such a risky shortcut.

Meanwhile, another user, Aya Fathin, said she was already cautious whenever driving alongside lorries because of the risks faced by motorcyclists in collisions involving heavy vehicles.

She said the footage reinforced her concerns about riders attempting to squeeze through narrow spaces between lorries and other large vehicles.

The incident has once again sparked discussion online about road safety and the dangers of attempting risky manoeuvres around heavy vehicles, where limited visibility and large blind spots can leave little room for error.

The video has since attracted more than 15,000 likes, with many users urging motorists and motorcyclists to prioritise safety rather than attempting potentially life-threatening shortcuts.
