Woman Believed To Be Rocky’s Owner Also Set To Face Charges In Court

Date:

A woman believed to be the owner of Rocky, the stray dog whose death sparked controversy following an incident during an operation to capture stray dogs, is also expected to face charges at the Klang Court today.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, is expected to face several charges at two separate courts.

A source confirmed that she is among those scheduled to be charged today.

“Yes, that is correct,” the source said.

Based on the judicial system, the charges related to the incident are expected to be heard before Sessions Court Judge Mujib Saroji and Magistrate A Karthiyayini.

However, the exact sections of law and Acts under which the two individuals will be charged have yet to be confirmed, as the charges will only be determined and read out in court.

Yesterday, Kosmo! reported that Muhammad Shah Idham Nor Haikal Shaharom, 24, who was previously linked to the death of Rocky, said he was still unaware of the charges he would face in court.

He said he was surprised after receiving a warrant requiring him to appear in court, with the charges believed to be under the Animal Welfare Act.

The Rocky case previously sparked widespread attention and public debate following footage of the incident circulating on social media.
