The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) has clarified that Dr Solehah Yaacob is no longer serving as an academic staff member at the university, with her service officially ending on April 27.
In a statement issued today, IIUM said that following the end of her service, Dr Solehah no longer holds the position of professor at the university and is not authorised to represent the institution in any official capacity.
The university stressed that she is also no longer permitted to use any title, position, kulliyyah, centre, institute, department or other form of official affiliation associated with IIUM.
The restriction extends to promotional materials, media reports, publications, advertisements and social media content that may associate Dr Solehah with the university, whether directly or indirectly.
IIUM also urged that the clarification be taken into account in any publicity or announcements involving Dr Solehah, saying the move was necessary to prevent confusion and protect the integrity of the university and its academic standing.
The statement comes after Dr Solehah previously attracted public attention over several of her views, including those concerning Malay history and civilisation.
