Mexican influencer Kitzia Mitre recently took her young son on a seaside holiday in Mexico, only for their trip to take an unexpected turn. After playing in the water, her son Pedro complained that something felt stuck in his ear. Acting quickly, Kitzia rushed him to a doctor — and was stunned when the physician carefully pulled a tiny live crab from Pedro’s ear with a pair of tweezers.
Kitzia, who has 590,000 followers on TikTok, filmed the entire procedure at her son’s request. In the video, Pedro can be seen lying on an operating table, crying and nervously asking his mother, “Am I going to go blind?” as she holds his hand to comfort him. Moments later, the doctor extracts a still-squirming baby crab from his ear canal.
The clip has gone massively viral, racking up more than 22.3 million views. Commenters were both shocked and amused, with one joking, “How did he even think he’d go blind?” and another asking, “How on earth did a crab get in his ear?” Kitzia herself light-heartedly replied, “No crabs were harmed in this incident.”
