PM Anwar To Deliver National Day Address Tomorrow

Date:

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will deliver his National Day Prime Ministerial Address at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) tomorrow afternoon.

Anwar said he would announce several key initiatives during the address, including measures aimed at addressing concerns affecting the lives and well-being of Malaysians.

The address will be broadcast live across local media channels, allowing Malaysians nationwide to follow the announcement.

In a post on X today, Anwar said nearly seven decades had passed since Malaysia achieved independence, making the occasion an opportunity to remember the sacrifices of earlier generations.

He said the country’s independence was built through the sweat, blood and tears of those who came before, while the present generation must reflect on its responsibility to preserve and give greater meaning to the nation’s independence.

“Let us enliven this year’s National Day celebrations by renewing the spirit of unity and rejecting all incitement of hatred between races and religions for the sake of the country’s peace and the people’s well-being,” he said.

The address is expected to highlight the government’s priorities and initiatives as Malaysia marks another National Day, with unity and public welfare remaining central themes.
