Private diesel vehicle owners with eligible pickup trucks and jeeps who have yet to apply for an additional 100 litres of monthly BUDI Diesel entitlement are urged to submit their applications through the BUDI MADANI portal.
The Finance Ministry (MOF) said in a statement on Monday that the additional allocation will raise the monthly entitlement for eligible owners from 300 litres to 400 litres starting Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
Those who had already received approval for the additional 100-litre allocation do not need to submit another application. Their entitlement will instead be increased automatically to 400 litres from September 1.
Applications for the additional allocation can be submitted through the official BUDI MADANI portal. More than 500,000 owners of private diesel-powered pickup trucks and jeeps are eligible to apply for the extra allocation.
Meanwhile, the basic monthly BUDI MADANI entitlement will also be increased from 200 litres to 300 litres from September 1, following an announcement by Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during his 2026 National Day Eve Address.
The adjustment will be carried out automatically for eligible recipients under BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) and BUDI MADANI Diesel (BUDI Diesel), subject to their respective eligibility requirements.
Around 16 million users currently benefit from subsidised RON95 at RM1.99 per litre, while more than 700,000 of them are also eligible for subsidised diesel priced at RM2.10 per litre.
According to MOF, the restoration of the monthly entitlement limits takes into account improvements in supply management, stronger enforcement, the country’s robust economic performance and the Government’s financial capacity.
The latest adjustments are expected to provide additional support to eligible diesel vehicle owners while maintaining the Government’s efforts to manage subsidised fuel distribution more effectively.
