Police Hunt Man Accused Of Kicking Young Girl At Kota Bharu Eatery

Police are looking for a man who allegedly kicked a young girl during an incident at a popular Thai restaurant in Telipot, Kota Bharu.

Kota Bharu district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azmir Damiri said police received a public report at about 10.24pm on Saturday concerning a video of the incident that had gone viral on Threads.

He said the video showed a man believed to be Malay allegedly behaving aggressively towards a young girl, believed to be his daughter, at the restaurant.

“The video was uploaded by the restaurant owner on his Facebook account before it went viral on social media.

“Following the report, police opened an investigation paper under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001,” he said when contacted today.

Police are now tracing the man involved as part of the investigation.
