A hotel owner has appealed for justice after a guest allegedly slapped a housekeeping worker several times and damaged hotel property following a misunderstanding over a room in the hotel.
According to the owner, the worker was carrying out routine housekeeping duties when they mistakenly believed a room was unoccupied. The worker reportedly realised a guest was still inside before entering.
However, the situation allegedly escalated, with the guest accused of slapping the worker in the face several times. Several items belonging to the hotel were also reportedly damaged during the incident.
The owner said a police report was subsequently lodged over the alleged assault and property damage, with CCTV footage of the incident submitted to authorities as evidence.
However, the owner claimed that no appropriate action had been taken so far, expressing disappointment over the handling of the case.
Adding to the owner’s frustration, the guest allegedly left a negative review of the hotel following the incident and posted critical comments about the establishment on several online platforms.
The owner maintained that the CCTV footage clearly showed what happened to the worker and questioned the lack of further action. As of the latest report, it remains unclear whether police have taken further action or whether the guest has responded to the allegations.
