The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm and heavy rain warning for multiple regions across the country, effective until 5pm today.

In Peninsular Malaysia, the alert includes the entire state of Perlis; the districts of Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu in Kedah; and several areas in Perak—namely Larut, Matang dan Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Perak Tengah, Batang Padang, and Muallim.
Other affected areas are Gua Musang in Kelantan; all districts in Terengganu; and several locations in Pahang, including Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Bera, and Rompin.
In Selangor, Hulu Selangor is under alert, while in Johor, the warning covers Segamat and Mersing.
Over in East Malaysia, parts of Sarawak—including Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan, and Marudi) and Limbang—are expected to be hit. Interior areas of Sabah such as Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, and Nabawan are also included in the warning.
