PM Anwar Meets Sabah and Sarawak Leaders to Strengthen Federal-State Cooperation

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today met with Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor to discuss key matters of mutual interest. The meetings focused on strengthening collaboration between the federal and state governments to support Malaysia’s national development goals.

Anwar highlighted the importance of fostering close ties and strategic partnerships with Sabah and Sarawak, noting that such cooperation is vital for achieving inclusive and balanced progress across the country. “Strong relationships between the Federal Government and state administrations will help realise our shared national agenda, benefiting all Malaysians,” he said in a statement posted on Facebook.

The discussions underscored the commitment of all parties to work together for the equitable development of the nation, ensuring that the aspirations of all regions are addressed in a harmonious manner.
