M’sian Man Ends Relationship After Seeing Girlfriend Cuddling With Female Best Friend

Date:

A Malaysian man said he ended his relationship after seeing photos of his girlfriend cuddling in bed with her female best friend.

In an anonymous post, the man claimed the incident was not the first time one of his relationships had ended over what he considered a lack of boundaries between his girlfriend and her female best friend.

He said both of his most recent relationships ended after he became uncomfortable with the closeness between his girlfriends and other women.

The man said he met his first girlfriend while they were working part-time.

About three months into the relationship, he claimed she began looking down on him because he earned less and took longer to receive a promotion.

He then allegedly saw her hugging another woman and behaving intimately with her. When he asked who the woman was, she reportedly told him: “She’s just my best friend.”

Rather than confront her further, he decided to end the relationship, saying he did not want to “waste” his youth or continue draining himself emotionally.

He later met his second girlfriend through a dating platform. After they had chatted for some time, he said he repeatedly invited her to go on dates, including shopping trips, exhibition visits and Chinese cultural activities.

However, he claimed she turned down each invitation.

His suspicions grew after he came across a social media story posted by his girlfriend. According to him, the photos showed her hugging another woman and cuddling with her in bed.

The man said he felt the photos gave him the answer he needed and decided not to question her further.

Instead, he sent her a message ending their relationship, saying she had a boyfriend but still had “no boundaries” with her best friend.

“I’m setting you free, and I’m setting myself free too,” he wrote.

The man acknowledged that some people might view him as overly jealous or believe the women were simply close friends.

He said he had tried to convince himself of the same thing, but maintained that boundaries were important in relationships regardless of whether the third party was a man or woman.

“Loyalty is not the only thing that matters in a relationship. Boundaries matter too,” he wrote.

He urged people in relationships to respect their partners and consider their sense of security, arguing that genuine friendships should not require crossed boundaries to prove their closeness.

“A healthy relationship should not leave your partner constantly living with doubt and insecurity,” he added.
