A man was left spooked after allegedly hearing the sound of a woman crying inside an office believed to be in Precinct 15, Putrajaya.
The incident was recorded by the man, identified as Akid Aly on Threads, who later uploaded the footage to his account, prompting a wave of reactions from social media users.
In one video, Akid opened a door leading to a corridor lined with several closed, dark rooms. Moments later, the sound of what appeared to be a woman crying could be heard.
However, no one was seen in the footage, while the doors to the rooms along the corridor remained closed.
“She was crying at the Putrajaya office. Just because I’m the only one here,” he wrote in the post.
In another video, Akid filmed a door that appeared to open on its own. He said all the doors had been closed and there was no wind inside the office.
“She’s playing around now. Everything here is closed, and there’s definitely no wind,” he said in the video.
The posts also prompted other Threads users to share their own alleged spooky encounters at offices and government complexes around Putrajaya.
One user, Makeupbyfateenhamdan, claimed her chief clerk was on medical leave when she allegedly saw someone resembling her supervisor early in the morning. The person reportedly looked into the file room, smiled and nodded after she greeted them, before she later realised her colleague was not at work.
Another user, Po_me.lo, recalled an alleged incident at Complex E around 7pm while working near a disposal store. She claimed an assistant stopped outside the store but remained silent when asked whether she was leaving, before someone allegedly tapped her on the back.
A third user, Aini Majid, claimed her sister-in-law once encountered three people in traditional clothing inside a lift while working overtime late at night in Putrajaya.
She alleged that two appeared to be wearing kebaya while another was dressed in what looked like old-fashioned clothing. The group reportedly remained silent throughout the lift ride until reaching the basement, prompting her sister-in-law to rush to her car without looking back.
She also claimed her sister-in-law had encountered another unexplained incident near a bridge in Putrajaya.
