A 31-year-old Myanmar national was found dead at a condominium construction site in Lorong Perak, Jelutong, Penang, on Monday.
The worker was found lying on the 20th floor of the 25-storey construction site at around 6.50pm.
Northeast District police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad said police received a public alert about the incident before a team was dispatched to the site.
“Initial investigations found that the location was a condominium construction site comprising a 25-storey building in Jelutong.
“The victim, who was working at the construction site, is believed to have fallen from the 25th floor while carrying out board installation work,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.
Police said an examination of the victim’s body and the scene found no indication of criminal activity.
The victim’s body was subsequently sent to Penang Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The case has been classified as sudden death, with investigations still ongoing.
