A Russian influencer has reportedly been deported from Vietnam and banned from returning for life after being accused of performing dangerous and sexually provocative stunts on a motorbike in public.
Yulia Nikitina, 35, was reportedly involved in a series of stunts on her Yamaha YZF-R15 around Nha Trang, a popular resort destination.
Local reports said Nikitina was seen posing on the moving motorcycle, including lying across the bike and performing manoeuvres while travelling through traffic.
Some of the footage and photographs allegedly showed her wearing a short skirt while carrying out the stunts, with Vietnamese media and social media users criticising what they described as inappropriate behaviour in public.
Authorities initially warned that she could face up to seven years in prison for allegedly disturbing public order.
However, Nikitina was ultimately fined around £860, deported and handed a lifetime ban from entering Vietnam. Her motorcycle and iPhone 16 were also reportedly confiscated.
Nikitina reportedly told the court that Vietnam was her “second home”, having become a popular destination for Russian nationals, particularly amid the war in Ukraine.
According to local reports, she later apologised for what was described as flaunting her appearance and acknowledged that the content had been filmed, edited and uploaded to attract attention.
The People’s Court of Region 2 in Khanh Hoa reportedly found that Nikitina had committed offences on three separate occasions between January and June 2025.
The incidents allegedly took place on public roads in the Cam Lam and Nam Cam Ranh communes.
Vietnamese authorities have urged residents and visitors to comply with road safety regulations, warning that dangerous or offensive behaviour could face enforcement action in the interests of maintaining a safe and orderly traffic environment.
Nikitina’s case comes amid other incidents involving foreign influencers facing action in Asian countries over controversial social media content.
In 2021, Russian national Luiza Kosykh was deported from Bali after posing naked on a sacred 700-year-old tree in Tabanan.
Russian yoga practitioner Alina Fazleeva also faced backlash in 2022 after posing naked near the same tree.
Fazleeva and her husband reportedly carried out a ritual at Babakan Temple to apologise for their actions, but the couple were subsequently deported from Indonesia.
