A landslide occurred at Block D of Damai Perdana Apartment in Cheras last night, with firefighters suspecting an underground water leak may have caused the incident.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Ashrul Riezal Asbar said water was still flowing at the site, but no further ground movement had been detected by the rescue team.
“Monitoring of the ground condition and water flow is being carried out.
“No casualties have been reported so far, and the Public Works Department has been notified,” he said in a statement.
Ashrul said the department received a distress call at 9.03pm, before a fire engine from the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the location eight minutes later.
He said monitoring would continue to assess the condition of the affected area and water flow.
