A 29-year-old local man died after he was believed to have fallen from the Ipoh Central Market building along Jalan Laksamana on Wednesday morning.
Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Najib Hamzah said police received information about the incident at about 9.25am.
He said officers who arrived at the scene found the man lying on the road with blood on his body.
“The victim, a 29-year-old local man, was pronounced dead at the scene,” he said.
The victim’s body was taken to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) Forensic Department in Ipoh for a post-mortem.
Muhammad Najib urged the public not to speculate or circulate unverified information, warning that it could cause confusion and interfere with the investigation.
