Seven-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured After Alleged Hammer Attack by Uncle

A seven-year-old boy is in critical condition after allegedly being struck with a hammer by his uncle at a shop house on Jalan Kedai Jelawat on Thursday.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m., leaving the child with serious head injuries. Deputy Chief of Bachok District Police, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Azrie Sulaiman, said authorities received an emergency call from a man reporting the incident.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect allegedly hit the victim with a hammer in his own home. The victim is believed to be the suspect’s nephew,” he stated.

The boy was rushed to Bachok Hospital for further treatment.
