Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was seen in tears while visiting the grave of his late wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, at Pusara Negara in Putrajaya on Thursday.
Dr Mahathir appeared deeply emotional as he stood beside the grave of his wife of 70 years, at times looking towards her final resting place before lowering his head and offering prayers.

The solemn atmosphere at the cemetery grew more emotional when Dr Mahathir was seen shedding tears before being comforted by members of his family.
He spent around 15 minutes at the grave, accompanied by his daughter-in-law, grandchildren and other family members.
Dr Mahathir arrived at around 11.05am before leaving shortly after 15 minutes. He is understood to have returned to the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur, where he is currently receiving treatment after being admitted on Wednesday.
More than 100 people were also reported to have visited Siti Hasmah’s grave on Thursday.
Among those seen paying their respects were Putrajaya MP Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin, legendary singer Datuk Ramli Sarip and former national badminton player Datuk Seri Lee Chong Wei.
Siti Hasmah died at IJN on Monday at the age of 100. She and Dr Mahathir had been married for 70 years and had seven children.
