An express bus carrying 15 passengers, including the driver, overturned early this morning in Kampung Batu Balai along the Kuala Krai-Kota Bharu road.
A spokesperson for the Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said emergency calls were received through the MERS system at 5.30 a.m. from members of the public.
A rescue team of 13 personnel with three fire engines from Sungai Durian and Kuala Krai stations were dispatched and arrived at the scene at 5.54 a.m.
Upon arrival, authorities confirmed that the bus accident involved all 15 people on board, with two passengers trapped. Rescue operations are ongoing.
