A man has claimed that he was spied on while using a public toilet in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, after a stranger’s head suddenly appeared beneath the partition separating the cubicles.
The incident was shared by the man through his Threads account, Ehhnasss, in a post published recently. He said it had happened about a week earlier.
In the video he uploaded, a man can be seen suddenly peering through the gap beneath a toilet partition, apparently looking into the cubicle where the victim was using the toilet.
“It’s frightening when someone suddenly peeks in. The location is Bukit Jelutong, on the second floor,” he wrote.
He explained that he had initially kept the footage to himself before deciding to share it after discussing the incident with a colleague.
“The video isn’t new. It happened about a week ago. I only found the courage to upload it today after telling a colleague about it. The incident keeps replaying in my mind, and now I’m even afraid to use public toilets,” he said.
The man also claimed that the individual involved was believed to be a foreign national, although this was not independently verified.
His post drew numerous reactions from other Threads users, with some sharing similar experiences of being spied on while using public toilets.
One user, Ophie77, said she had previously questioned why people did not intervene or report such incidents, until she experienced something similar herself.
She recalled being caught off guard when someone peered beneath her toilet door, leaving her shaken and unable to think clearly. Since then, she said, she had started bringing her phone into the toilet.
Another user, Heyray.co, expressed disgust at the thought of someone putting their face, hands and body against a public toilet floor.
A third commenter, Kwonsoonyounglover, said the experience sounded “scarier than a ghost”.
