A Road Transport Department (JPJ) officer was killed and another seriously injured in a crash involving a JPJ vehicle and two lorries on the southbound North-South Expressway near the Senawang exit on Thursday night.

The accident occurred at about 10.50pm while the officers were reportedly inspecting a lorry parked along the emergency lane.
A second lorry travelling behind is believed to have lost control before crashing into the JPJ sports utility vehicle (SUV) and the lorry being inspected.
A photograph circulating online showed the deceased officer’s body covered with a white cloth at the scene.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident. However, a senior Negeri Sembilan JPJ officer confirmed that one of the department’s personnel had died in the crash.
