Pressure to the neck was identified as the cause of death of an Enforcement and Border Protection Agency (AKPS) officer found dead at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport quarters in Nilai last Thursday.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the preliminary findings followed a nearly five-hour post-mortem examination conducted at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital on Saturday, beginning at 9.40am.
“The examination also found three stab wounds inflicted with a sharp weapon, two to the abdomen and one to the right cheek,” he said in a statement.
The woman, who was in her 30s, was found dead after allegedly being stabbed by her husband at the quarters in an incident believed to have stemmed from a domestic dispute.
Alzafny previously said police received a report about the incident at around 9.30pm after the victim’s husband, also in his 30s, surrendered at the Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi Police Station in Sepang, Selangor, and reported her death.
The suspect has been remanded until Oct 22 to assist investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
