A man has come under fire online after he was allegedly caught on CCTV abandoning several kittens inside a bag hung on the door of a cat grooming shop in Rawang.

The shop, Mozicat HQ, shared the CCTV footage on its Instagram account, Mozicat_hq, showing the man leaving the bag containing the kittens outside the premises before walking away.
In its post, the shop urged the man, described as wearing a black cap, grey shirt and grey trousers, to return and collect the kittens he had allegedly abandoned.
The shop also warned that it would make the footage go viral and report the incident to the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS), while appealing to anyone who recognised the man to contact him.

The shop gave the man until the following day to retrieve the kittens, describing his alleged actions as irresponsible and warning that he could face a fine from the veterinary authorities.
In response to questions from the public, the shop said it had encountered a similar incident last month, when another individual allegedly abandoned two cats in a worn-out bag outside the premises.
The cats were reportedly suffering from severe skin conditions when they were found, prompting the shop to take them in for care and treatment.
Despite posting videos and conducting livestreams to find them new homes through an open adoption appeal, the shop said no one had come forward to adopt them.
The shop added that it would continue caring for the cats, while expressing hope that someone would adopt the latest kittens left outside its premises.
The incident has sparked a wave of criticism online, with many users condemning the alleged abandonment and questioning why pet owners would leave animals for others to care for.
One commenter, Emmaoshin, appealed to the public to adopt the kittens, writing: “Is there anyone willing to care for those kittens? Poor things, they have hearts and feelings too.”
Another user, Nazuwa Rahmat, criticised the man for leaving the shop owner to deal with the situation.
“So easy for him to do that, as if this is a dumping ground. Now the shop owner has to settle someone else’s problem. Have some consideration,” the commenter said.
Meanwhile, Adzizul Hassim responded to those who argued that abandoning animals in a supposedly safe place was better than leaving them elsewhere.
“People who say, ‘At least he left them in a safe place’ — yes, that’s true, but what if he left them at your house? What if someone keeps coming back to abandon dozens of cats? Would you be willing to care for them?” the commenter said.
Adzizul added that the shop was a business, not an animal welfare centre, and should not be expected to take responsibility for other people’s abandoned pets.
