RM2,500 Allowance For Form Six Students To Be Paid Over Three Semesters

Date:

Form Six students nationwide will receive a RM2,500 living allowance starting next year, Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek has announced.

The assistance, introduced under Budget 2027, will be distributed once registration for all Form Six students has been completed.

Fadhlina said the allowance would be paid over three semesters, amounting to approximately RM800 per semester.

She was speaking after launching the “Jelajah Negaraku: Aku Kasih Malaysia” programme yesterday.

According to Fadhlina, the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting Form Six students and improving the quality of the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM).

The allowance matches the amount provided to matriculation students and is expected to benefit about 90,000 Form Six students nationwide.

The initiative was among 12 resolutions raised at the Madani Pre-University Congress held in Klang in August.
