Woman Found Dead In Home, Husband Arrested For Probe

Date:

A woman was found dead in a suspected murder case at a house in Kampung Kuala Kuang, near Chemor, on Monday.

Ipoh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said police received information about the incident at around 12.30pm from a man who reported that the victim, a Myanmar national, was found unconscious in the house.

“A team from the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) was immediately dispatched to the location upon receiving the report. Checks on the body confirmed that the woman had already passed away,” he told reporters on Monday.

Police have since arrested the victim’s husband to assist in the investigation.

The body was sent to the Forensic Department of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) in Ipoh for a post-mortem.

“At this stage, the cause of death and the motive behind the incident are still under investigation,” Abang Zainal added.
