A man has drawn widespread condemnation after CCTV footage showed him hitting a female food stall operator on the head twice with a slipper in Sungai Pelek, Sepang.
The incident, which was reportedly captured at a stall, came to light after the recording was shared on the Kelab Info Malaysia Facebook page.
In the footage, the man is seen approaching the woman and asking her something about coconut water before suddenly raising his voice and calling her over.
When the woman walked towards him, he unexpectedly struck her on the head twice with a slipper.
The man was then seen leaving the stall after noticing that the woman was trying to contact someone.
The footage prompted an outpouring of anger among social media users, with many condemning the man’s behaviour and calling for action to be taken against him.
“Absolutely uncivilised. What a cowardly and disrespectful man. He brings shame to men. If he has a wife and children, he must be the type who beats them too,” commented Siti Ruhaya.
“Please lodge a police report. Don’t let someone like this get away with it. If it were me, I’d have thrown a coconut at his face,” Surina wrote.
“It’s just coconut water, yet you went as far as hitting and humiliating the stall operator. Who do you think you are? Action must be taken against this despicable person. He needs to be taught a lesson,” Amry commented.
