JELEBU: A female student who was a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination candidate was found dead in a house in Kuala Klawang on Saturday night.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the 17-year-old girl was discovered dead in a bedroom of her family’s home.
“At about 11.50 p.m. on Saturday, the Kuala Klawang Police Station received a call from a medical officer at Jelebu Hospital informing them of the incident.
“It was reported that a local teenage girl was found dead inside a house in Kuala Klawang,” he said in a statement today.
Alzafny said initial police investigations found that the student was discovered inside the first bedroom of a single-storey terrace house, and the room door was locked from the inside.
“A further examination of the body found no signs of struggle or criminal elements.
“In addition, there were no signs of forced entry and none of the victim’s personal belongings were missing,” he added.
The case has been classified as sudden death, and police have advised the public not to speculate or spread unverified information, which could cause public distress and affect the family’s sensitivities.
