DBKL Seizes 15+ Unlicensed Dogs After Complaints of Noise and Smell in Residential Area

Date:

More than 15 dogs were captured and secured by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) during an operation yesterday at Jalan Kepong Lama, Kampung Batu Delima, following complaints from residents about noise disturbances and foul odors in the neighborhood.

According to DBKL, investigations revealed that all the dogs were kept without licenses and were poorly controlled, posing a threat to public safety.

“These dogs not only chased members of the public but also disrupted the peace of the community,” DBKL said in a statement.

During the operation, there were reports of outsiders attempting to provoke and obstruct the authorities, DBKL added on Facebook today.

The city council emphasized that it, along with other enforcement agencies, is committed to protecting the well-being of urban residents and will take appropriate action against owners who fail to comply with regulations.

“Love for animals is a human value, but neighbors also have the right to live in peace. We can care for pets, but they must be licensed and not cause trouble to others,” the statement concluded.
