PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has taken a sarcastic swipe at Transport Minister Anthony Loke as former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak prepares to leave Kajang Prison and serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.

In a Facebook post, Fadhli appeared to remind Loke of his earlier pledge to resign if Najib was allowed to return home.
“What time are you resigning today, and when are you packing up and leaving the office?” he asked.
His remark came after Najib’s lawyers confirmed that the RM50 million fine required for his house arrest had been paid, with the relevant court order being sent to Kajang Prison for implementation.
Loke had previously submitted his resignation letter to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in protest against the decision to allow Najib to serve the remainder of his prison sentence at home.
On September 29, Loke said Anwar had asked him to continue performing his duties temporarily, but maintained that his resignation would take effect once Najib returned home.
“On the day Najib goes home, my resignation will take effect,” he said.
Loke explained that his stance was intended to reaffirm DAP’s opposition to Najib being allowed to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.
Najib’s lawyer, Muhammad Farhan Muhammad Shafee, said the High Court had issued the house arrest order following payment of the RM50 million fine.
The order was being delivered to Kajang Prison, with the process expected to be completed today (November 6).
Meanwhile, police had stepped up security around Najib’s residence in Langgak Duta, with about 30 personnel deployed in preparation for his possible return.
With Najib expected to begin serving the remainder of his sentence at home, Fadhli’s remarks have brought renewed attention to Loke’s earlier resignation pledge and whether he will now formally leave his ministerial post.
