A horrifying family murder unfolded in Sapporo, Japan this morning, when a 40-year-old man turned himself in to police, claiming he had “killed three family members.” Authorities later discovered the bodies of one man and two women at the suspect’s home. The man is currently being questioned for murder, with further details of the case still under investigation.

According to Sapporo Television, the Kita Police Station received the tip-off at around 11:30 a.m. local time on October 31, when the man admitted that he had killed three family members 30 minutes earlier.

Police immediately went to the address provided by the suspect and found the three adult victims unresponsive inside the residence. They were pronounced dead at a hospital, and their bodies showed no signs of decomposition, indicating the deaths had occurred recently.

The two-story house is located in a quiet residential area, roughly 15 minutes by car from the Kita Police Station.

Authorities are currently questioning the suspect on suspicion of murder. The identities of the victims have not yet been confirmed, but neighbors described the family as “ordinary.” Police continue to investigate the circumstances and motive behind the triple homicide.
