Demi Lovato, 33, may be considering starting a family in the near future. In a recent Apple Music interview about her new album It’s Not That Deep, Lovato opened up about her relationship with singer Jutes, 34, whom she married in May. “I just got married. I’m thinking about kids, you know,” she said. “I think about, well, do I want to keep making music and do I want to keep touring, or do I feel like I’m not getting any younger? I think about it all the time. I’m such a fluid person that I’m just going to take it as it comes.”
Lovato also acknowledged the realities of biological timing, saying, “Unfortunately, for people who are able to get pregnant, there’s a clock that ticks, and I think about that a lot. But then one could argue there’s adoption and there are other alternative options.” She explained that she has been thinking about having children for some time, reflecting on balancing her music career with potential parenthood: “When am I going to make that decision to actually step aside? When am I going to realize I put enough energy into this? Music will always be here for me as a creative outlet. Even if I was a mom, I’d still want to make music.”
Her album It’s Not That Deep was released on October 24, 2025, and she recently announced a 2026 tour in support of it. Lovato has previously expressed interest in adoption. Back in March 2021 on The Joe Rogan Experience, she said, “I used to [want children]. I think if anything, I want to adopt, more than anything. Life doesn’t go according to any plan… I could sit here and say, ‘Yes, I would love to have children.’ But I don’t know, because that might change next week. In this moment, I want to adopt, for sure.”
Lovato’s comments highlight her thoughtful approach to family planning while maintaining her music career, leaving fans excited for both her personal and professional future.
