Woman and Daughter Found Dead but Son Survived in Suspected Murder-Suicide

Date:

A 30-year-old woman and her four-year-old daughter were found dead in a suspected murder-suicide at a house in Taman Perak yesterday, believed to be driven by the woman’s emotional distress over relationship problems.

Police discovered a suicide note at the scene in which the woman apologised and said she could no longer endure her emotional suffering.

“I apologise to everyone. This is my final journey — I can no longer bear the heartache,” she reportedly wrote, adding that she felt compelled to take her children with her as she believed “no one else” could care for them.

According to reports, the woman also expressed gratitude to her friends and stated they were not involved in her decision.

Police arrived at the home around midnight to find the factory worker and her young daughter deceased, while her seven-year-old son survived with injuries after an apparent attempt on his life failed.

Kulim police chief Superintendent Zulkifli Azizan said the case is being investigated under Sections 302 and 307 of the Penal Code for murder and attempted murder.

The bodies were sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Star for post-mortem examination, while the injured boy is receiving treatment at Kulim Hospital.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
