Malaysia’s beloved Perodua Bezza, the nation’s second best-selling car, has now been enlisted as a police patrol vehicle in Papua New Guinea.
Footage shared on TikTok by user @brittany.jane93 shows a fleet of Bezza sedans sporting police markings and siren lights rolling out from a Perodua dealership in Port Moresby. According to the post, these vehicles are now part of the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary’s fleet.
The news has sparked pride among Malaysians online, with netizens expressing excitement over a national car making waves overseas. One social media user remarked, “From ride-hailing to patrol cars, this Bezza truly does it all!”
The model chosen for Papua New Guinea is an export version built by Perodua for markets outside Southeast Asia. It was reportedly selected by the local police for its fuel efficiency, durability, and low maintenance costs, making it an ideal choice for law enforcement duties.
This move marks another milestone for Perodua as its vehicles continue to gain recognition beyond Malaysia’s borders.
