Klang Petrol Station Shooting Claims Life of Wanted Criminal

The man shot dead at a petrol station in Bukit Tinggi, Klang last Friday has been identified as a wanted individual under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the 34-year-old local man had multiple prior criminal records.

Investigators are examining all angles, considering the victim’s background. So far, seven statements have been recorded from the victim’s wife, family members, and witnesses.

“The investigation is ongoing. The post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. The body has been released to the family for burial,” Hussein said.

The shooting occurred around 11pm last Friday when a suspect reportedly fired several shots at the front of a car, fatally hitting the victim, who was inside and unemployed.

Hussein made the remarks during a press conference highlighting the achievements of the Selangor Commercial Crime Investigation Department and the Selangor Internal Security and Public Order Department.
