A shocking knife attack in a residential area of KotaSAS Royal Town this morning left a woman and her son injured, after their Filipina domestic worker allegedly turned violent during a confrontation.
The incident reportedly occurred around 8.40 a.m. inside the victims’ terraced home. According to China Press, the 57-year-old employer and her 28-year-old son both sustained slash wounds, with the son losing a finger in the struggle.
Authorities said the suspect, believed to have been under immense psychological pressure, was swiftly detained by police at the scene.
Police have since cordoned off the house as investigations continue.
A nearby resident told WeirdKaya that the maid had attacked her employer using a cleaver, and that the male victim was also injured while trying to intervene.
“The homeowner immediately alerted the authorities and asked for help in a neighbourhood WhatsApp group. The first to respond was the community’s security guard,” the resident said.
The witness added that there was blood throughout the house, though both victims appeared to be in stable condition when help arrived.
A video circulating online reportedly shows the male victim standing inside the home, covered in blood, with the floor visibly stained.
Police are expected to release an official statement once the investigation is complete.
