17-Year-Old Motorcycle Rider Killed in Hit-and-Run Along Lim Chong Eu Expressway

A 17-year-old boy, currently sitting for his SPM examination, tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run accident along the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway today.

According to reports by China Press, the victim, identified as Jason, had recently obtained his motorcycle license and was out to buy food when the accident occurred at around 11 a.m.

Witnesses said Jason was hit from behind by a car while riding home. He was thrown from his motorcycle and subsequently run over by the vehicle, sustaining fatal head injuries and dying at the scene. The driver fled immediately afterward.

Jason’s family rushed to the scene after hearing the news. His mother was seen crying uncontrollably, while his younger brother knelt in grief, praying for his brother’s peaceful journey.

Jason’s body was transported to Penang General Hospital for a post-mortem. Authorities closed the expressway for investigations, causing major traffic congestion. Police are reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to track down the driver responsible.

The Penang police urge anyone with information to come forward.
