Selangor police have arrested three male suspects believed to be involved in a shooting that resulted in the death of an unemployed man at a petrol station in Bukit Tinggi, Klang, recently.
Selangor Police Chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar stated that the suspects, aged between 19 and 35, were apprehended in various locations around Klang.
“Three arrests have been made so far to assist with investigations, and all three suspects are currently remanded until Monday,” he said. “The investigation is ongoing, so we cannot provide detailed comments at this stage due to the sensitivity of the case.”
The incident, which went viral on social media, has sparked speculation about possible gang involvement. However, Datuk Shazeli emphasized that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is investigating all angles and is not focusing solely on gang-related activity.
“We are examining every aspect, including the background of the deceased. We urge the public to allow PDRM to conduct a fair and thorough investigation,” he added.
Datuk Shazeli confirmed that the victim of the shooting, which occurred on October 7 at the Bukit Tinggi petrol station, was a local unemployed man. Further investigation revealed that the suspects allegedly fired several shots at the front of a car, hitting the victim.
