Nine Men Nabbed in Bau Drug Sting: All Test Positive in Major NCID Operation

Bau police arrested nine men for drug abuse yesterday, authorities confirmed.

Supt Mohd Haide A Rahman, Bau district police chief, said the arrests were made by the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) during a special operation, Op Tapis Khas/Op Waran Tangkap, conducted from 8:45 am to 2:14 pm.

“All nine suspects tested positive for drugs through urine tests and were arrested under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said. Supt Mohd Haide added that one of the men also had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Police urged anyone with information about drug-related activities to contact the Bukit Aman NCID at 012‑2087222 or the Sarawak Police Contingent NCID at 017‑5929211.
