Drivers Warned After Kitten Discovered in Engine Compartment Amid Heavy Rain

Date:

A Malaysian driver received an unexpected surprise when she discovered a tiny kitten hiding deep inside her car engine while seeking shelter from heavy rain.

In a post on Threads, the woman shared that the day had been cold and rainy, prompting small animals to look for warm spots, including car engines.

“I was just about to leave the parking lot, but the meow was so close. I didn’t expect it to be inside the car engine at all,” she wrote.

The kitten had crawled into the engine compartment to escape the rain, unknowingly putting itself at risk. The driver only noticed the feline after hearing faint meows coming from the front of her vehicle.

With help from others, the woman successfully rescued the kitten.

Pet owners and drivers are reminded to check their vehicles before starting, as small animals—particularly cats—often seek warmth in engine compartments during cold or wet weather.

The heartwarming incident has since gone viral online, with many praising the driver for her attentiveness and quick action to save the tiny feline.
